Day 4

A relatively leisurely start and a good free breakfast of scrambled egg, bacon and sausage, orange juice and coffee.
We had a day to fill before dropping the Jeep back to Newark Airport. There was an interesting area south of New York with a lighthouse, part of the Gateway National Recreation Area. We calculated a two hour plus drive through New Jersey. Phil had planned a route ...

I was in such a state of euphoria when I parked that I paid no attention whatsoever to where I left the stupid thing. In the end I'd gone on Kingda Ka, El Toro, Batman: The Ride, Bizarro, Superman, Skull Mountain, The Dark Knight and Nitro. I also can't scream enough good about Nitro. What a ripper roller coaster. ...

... we had planned on doing.
I can't go into too much detail, but one of the video technicians from KISS's crew was let go, and yesterday was his last show. His parting gift to us was an unexpected image at the end of the show that threw us all off. Needless to say he will never work in the industry again.
Now that the show is over, I am heading to my hotel room to get a couple of hours rest before heading home for a four day break. ...
