... so didn't stay long, next was EJ's a pool bar further down the Shore, had a few games here and got chatting to some people who knew more about where to go on a Monday. This lead us to Hooks which was off the front but a lot busier so spent the remainder of the evening here.

A desperate gamble
First flight to England - cancelled. Flight to Germany - cancelled. Second flight to England, 11 seats, all taken by people ahead of us. The situation was pretty grim at this point. There was a flight to Dover AFB later that evening and then two flights to Germany from there but they were list as having zero seats (tentative).

Fewer seats
... the cargo and/or luggage is strapped to the floor instead of on a pallet, they can only take 19 passengers. That is unless the loadmaster is really cool and says, "Hey, let's palletize this luggage so we can get more passengers on board". A day of rain
Today's plans included going in to town for some things and getting Brandy's passport. FedEx was scheduled to deliver it to the terminal at noon so we decided to get some lunch (after it stopped raining) and then go pick it up after that.
We checked the delivery status and it said "Delivery Exception: Customer could not be found or location closed." What?!?!?! We specifically addressed it to the terminal that we knew would be open all ...
From bad to worse
... it sent FedEx Overnight to us here. Fortunately, my mom was able to find it and get it sent out right away. Thanks, Mom! Without anything to do until we got the passport, we headed to billeting. [Note to self: It's a long walk to billeting from the terminal. Take the shuttle next time, stupid.] We got settled in our room and then went down to Pudgy's Sports Pub, ate, and watched the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. ...
