San Luis Obispo has nothing to keep us beyond a quick breakfast of cereal and muffins, in the morning sunshine. We are on the road at 09:00 and make good time up highway one heading for Carmel. The countryside around SLO is beautiful. It nestles in the Los Padres mountains and outdoor activities are a big pull on people to come to the area. As we leave the town I notice a sign for Hearst Castle, and suggest that we stop off on our way past. ...
