We pulled into a very small six spot park and picked out our spot next to a babbling creek that was nestled up to the Pisgua National Forest.  It was a beautiful, peaceful spot. ... Flat Rock and enjoyed awesome BBQ lunch at Bubba BBQ behind the Wrinkled Egg. A sudden torrential rain while in the store. ... to get some pictures, enjoy the view, and relax after the strenuous climb up, then continued on the trail. Going down from Pilot Mountain, the trail was again overgrown, but shortly it leveled off and became more open as we followed an old road. ... I also sunbaked near the pool and listened to my iPod... Super relaxing. In the early evening we drove into downtown Asheville and Karen and I went to whole foods for a drink and I bought heaps of protein bars too!!!
