I changed ready for the meeting and then drove into Los Banos with about two hours to spare, so I got onto the net at McDonalds there and caught up with e-mails etc.

When I got to the hall locality, which I remembered the Garmin GPS mistakenly located as several blocks away last year, I found the new Garmin was just as wrong! Nevertheless, I was there well over half an hour before the meeting and I was surprised to see a bunch ...

We kept going at a snails pace and eventually we had joined a convoy of other refugees all tiptoeing through the storm. Only a mom and her toddler were at the hot tubs so Marion and I selfishly had separate tubs and also filled a tub with cold water for a semi cold plunge.

It was perfect. We soaked for almost the full ...

... However, we walked to the base of Lower Yosemite Falls and were seriously impressed. Even better than our waterfall at home during a summer storm! And take a few steps back and you can see the Upper Yosemite Falls as well.

We also checked out the Happy Isles, where there is another interpretive centre and a couple of islands midstream you can walk to. The sun was shining, a perfect spot to ...
