    The dingy, which had been repaired in a previous visit to the mountains, was deflating and the leak was thought to be from the original repair. A running repair was made but this did not last more than one outing to the water so I popped across to Ace Hardware just across the road for a repair kit. Whilst I was gone Ruth and JJ found two other small holes, so all three were patched and the dinghy was then put to good ...

    ... we were starting to notice our fellow pilgrims which was very exciting. Eventually our time came to load up and on the train and away we went . It got exciting as we arrived in Bayonne as we're supposed to train to SJPP but there were 2 buses awaiting all the 150 + pilgrims that had arrived. I was a bit overwhelmed at the number of us but it was also reassuring we weren't the only people about to attempt this adventure. ...

    ... Village itself. We grabbed some lunch then Sean, Chris & I were off to the wedding rehearsal. I only have a small reading near the end jointly with Andreas Aunt Tracey, who is arriving tomorrow. It's much cooler in Tahoe thankfully. But standing or sitting in the sun for nearly 2 hours is tiring! Anyway the main people should have it down pat for tomorrow.     ... door when we first arrived, turned out to be a wonderful experience thanks to that dedicated volunteer.

    From there, we drove on northward, out of the San Francisco fog, around the San Pablo Bay and through wine country to Napa where we had a delicious dinner at the Napa Valley Bistro in Napa itself.     ... chilly when we first get in, but it's lovely once you are in.

    Once again it looks like our family has the least equipment for the day! Everyone has a tent or Gazebo, umbrella, mats, cooler boxes on wheels (we even spot a motorised one you sit on!), BBQs, and the worlds largest picnics. We have a modest picnic mat and two chairs, and manage just fine.
