We got on the road this morning headed for Memphis. We made a few uninteresting stops at gas stations and what not for the essentials but our lunch stop was at a rest stop which was becoming the norm. While we were there, there was this adorable sausage puppy and we spoke in detail about our plans to kidnap it and keep it. ... cleaned up and sorted, we got on that shuttle and headed for Beale Street, one of the coolest places on earth. There we met another mad writer type, Gary, and his lovely wife Michelle. We went to the Rum Boogie Café, whose motto is "Eat. Drink. ... played, it was a good dinner.


After dinner we went for a walk to Beale street and then
back to the same bar that we went to last night. The bar was much
less crowded, but there was live music and good beer at good prices,
so i had a few drinks, listened to the music and talked to people.
When that bar closed we went to BB kings, where there was more live
music and a few more drinks. I stayed for a bit then walked back to
the hotel and went to bed.
