... home, we were waiting at the trolley stop and this older woman called out to offer us a lift back to our hotel. Chris and I were very, very dubious but Clive and Richard said let's go so we rode home with Pearl, I'm a Christian not a Muslim. Quite a scream, we got the whole family history and she said she'd appreciate a tip when we arrived at the Sheraton. So we obliged!

Yes, we did enjoy Memphis - it is a very a different and interesting place. Next we head down the Blues ...

... about Elvis' Graceland. People weep when they are there. A pretty modest home with a lot of Elvis costumes, etc. the family has done an incredible marketing effort to have more income coming in now than when he was alive and performing. After that we went to the National Civil Rights Museum which is housed in and across the street from the Lorraine Motel where MLK was assassinated.
