          ... and their historical society has done a wonderful job of marking sites, but I find it loud and busy for a small town. The park area we are in however is very peaceful.... all we here are ducks and blue jays. We will move on to Lock # 5 in a day or so where we are told we can dock overnight in a pretty park, and then on to Mechanicville at Lock #3. ...

          ... were really green and slimy..... I am happy I had gloves although I am not looking forward to cleaning them. I will rinse them only and clean them at the end of the lock system I think....! The boat behind us used dish gloves. Smart move. Apparently not all the locks are the same, and they advise to be prepared with more than one set of lines ready.. We will see!           ... and Otto, beverages. When I asked Otto if Milo had any food preferences, I found out that Milo wanted lobster and artichokes. So, even though Otto told Milo he wasn't getting them, I tried to pick a little something with lobster and artichokes. We had two salads and two breads with a choice of spreads and toppings plus olives and cornichons. Everyone seemed pleased with the lunch.

          ... 3:00 PM when it was returned. They couldn't work on us everyday, so we were there for awhile. This gave us time to overeat Amish food and eat Amish candy.           ... black flies that cause quite a stir on the raft as people smacked each other in attempts to kill the miniature beasts. Well we survived the rafting trip and headed out to our next destination of Vacation Village in the Berkshires, a timeshare just outside of Albany across the MA border. We arrived safetly and checked in to our hotsy totsy new accommodations complete with a bed and TV's. Looking forward to what our new location can provide entertainment wise, we retire for the night.
