... br> Saturday morning, I met up with Terry and we drove to Houston IAH in a rental car because with the work code discount, it was cheaper to rent a car to and from the airport than to park for 2 weeks. We arrived well before our flight, went through security in record time, and made our way to the gate. We flew on British airways, with the flight scheduled for about 9 hours, ...

In a way it's liberating. Mark wasn't going to watch the World Cup initially for the same reasons he didn't watch any of the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia: as a silent protest against the way those events get "awarded" to places. There were a couple of good movies one about the space shuttle and one about the new programme for going to Mars that they are working on now. Doesn't matter how many times you see it the achievement is still amazing and watching the astronauts work outside on the space station makes me feel really queasy, how can they do that? As it was so busy we only queued for one tour where ...

... bring us to a sceeching halt for a time and so I started looking for a campground closer to Houston. Well, the GPS told us ETA in Beaumont would be about 5:30. Of course that would be straight driving and since we're older, we knew we would have to stop a couple of times, making ETA closer to 6pm. We decided to go for it.

We made our mandatory stop at Buckees and then since we had 32 ounce drinks, another stop to get rid of the drinks and switch drivers. ...
