10/3 Day 104 We are still camped at Mustang Run outside Oklahoma City and went sightseeing in the big city today. We started out going to see the Express Clydesdales. This farm is one of 9 farms owned and leased by Mr. Bob Funk, owner of Express Personnel services with 600 offices in the US, Canada, Australia, and South Africa. Edmond is just a suburb of Oklahoma City, and looks the same as any other suburb, strip mall after strip mall. When we finally reached the hotel, it was about 3:30, and when we went to check in, we found out that I had inadvertently booked a smoking room instead of a non-smoking room, and there were no other rooms available. I checked the local area on ...

... on these buildings and on their builders, Perhaps the most stunning of them all was a large opulent Methodist church which can only be described as awe-inspiring in its spirituality. The man who envisioned this church, and saw it built to his specs, had the stated intention of creating a place where people would be motivated to pray, by virtue of the building’s impact of the building on them. We almost started praying ourselves.
