... in the depths of Uniteds luggage pit. Much later that day, we are informed there has been succes and the luggage has been retrieved! Only to be informed the plane will now have to be reweighed for balance after losing a sixty pound gal and what must be her massive amounts of luggage....bloody hell why don't you repaint the feckin airplane while your at it! A full two hours later with a lovely sunset in the works we once again hear the request to buckle up ...

Yesterday, I tried to fix my stay at a guest ranch in the Texas Hill Country. However, the ranch of my choice is closed for a week due to a family wedding. I have checked for alternatives, but I either do not like the ranch or it is way too expensive. Therefore, I will jump on a horse in New Mexico or Arizona. Naturewise I will like those states better anyways.
So, this forenoon I will hop in a bus to San Antonio. Jan 29th in the evening, I will fly to El Paso.

Oh my goodness! What a night! 8 girls in 1 room coming and going at any time of the night. Making loud noises, putting the light on, snorring crazy, clogging the toilet, jumping around in the upper bunk, very limited respect. Under these circumstances I had my difficulties catching sleep. Am I getting too old for a dorm?

... 2 years he's been there he has never witnessed that happening. It was amazing that such a massive structure could float like that. We saw the brown pelicans from this area too. We were given until 2.30 pm before we were to be back at the bus so we went along the strand shops a block back. Others went and saw Dolphins or watched a historical movie on the deviation of the 1900 flood that took out Galveston. We ended up buying some dog photo frames, Christmas TV with a music box in ...

Today, Sunday, was spent in center city San Antonio at the Alamo and in the Riverwalk area. The Alamo is terrific and is the reason it was very crowded, but it is a must see.
