Drove 184 miles in 3 hours.
Was a low key day. Had a quick lunch in Greektown Detroit before hitting the road. My gyros was a huge disappointment and Karen's octopus salad was basically inedible. Terrible way to end the visit.

Was an incredible feeling to think that I was in the middle of America, round a campfire drinking margaritas it's just still such a surreal feeling that I am actually here it has still not sank in. After a few drinks it was time for bed as we have a huge journey in the morning ahead of us. Nighty night campers ...
... could I pass on that. I was lucky enough to spend the day in good company and attended the birthday party of a rock star. (In pure Irish fashion, it was held at a local Irish pub.) It was not like I was just there as a person in the crowd, I was an invited guest and it felt like family. What an absolutely amazing group of people.
I can only hope to remain friends with them and go out again in the future.
... apparently there is a festival of all kinds of flying craft round Labor weekend.
We will have left well before this.
Last but not least we came past the Rock n Roll hall of fame, which still draws bi names.
We were dropped off over the road from the City tower where we then caught the train back to West Cleveland where we're staying.

Leaving Cleveland was a major pain. We faced detour after detour. Mostly it was due to construction, but that was not the case in the local park where we were supposed to pick up a bike path along the shore.
