... 12 and bought coffee (3 enormous cups eg US small ones for $4.50) and our second stop was at a petrol station guarded by two men with guns and where one could buy all sorts of liquor in 1.75 l bottles. Amazing! A third stop at La Fayette which was supposed to have a nice historical down town. Nt true.very average with only a couple f half decent old buildings. Luckily it was not much f a detour. Lots of Sunday was spent driving round looking for a hot sauce festival, and although we never actually saw it, it was a good way of warming up for the evening's activity of watching World's End and then having a PT burger. Say what you will, I feel like I've lived like a Texan since I've been here and my hosts have been absolutely lovely. There will be plenty of time for culture in my next stop: Washington, DC.
