... Hannah nix gebrochen war und sie musste aber trotzdem mit Kruecken laufen. Ich habe mir dann ueberlegt ob ich am naechsten Tag ueberhaupt mit dem Bus nach Tauranga fahren soll aber habe mich dafuer entschieden weil ich ja gerne einen Job durchg das Workinghostel vermittelt haben wollte und dafuer ist es umso besser, je frueher man da ist. Also ging es dann am naechsten Tag durch einen grossen Umweg erstmal nach Napier wo ich mich dann bei Sonnenschein an den Strand ...

Well no more sleeps !!!!!. At Auckland airport having a beer and waiting for the flight. Finally got excited this morning and am all amped up now. Cruisy trip up, fingers crossed the flight is as uneventful. Bit worrying was the guy who was in front of me as I checked in. He was wearing a white robe, had the rag head thing going on. Could have hid 3-4 suicide vests under that robe, first name was Achmed, bloody hell. Mind you there are about 30 bloody kids on the flight also. ...

... the show which was Haka, song and dance of the tribe. Then it was dinner time - all you could eat chicken, mussels, lamb, fish, vegetables, salads, pavlova and various sweet treats. The food was incredible, especially after days of 2 minute noodles and beans on toast. We both ate our body weight in everything we could see and still feel enormous days later! Great night! Glad we have finally done something cultural too.

... frequented by people visiting karangahake gorge..its a large town again with origins from the gold mining but also famous for the Lemonade and Paeroa drink which used to be manufactured here from the local spring water... they have a 15ft tall bottle of it to welcome you into the town...with their slogan " L & P world famous, in new zealand"..hehe.....sadly coca cola have now taken them over.. we stayed in the paeroa race course car park..
