Went skiing with the Reidy's and their cousins. Jay Peak is definitely a must on a skiers list. Some sweet glade skiing for novices. Packed powder. 25 degrees. Barely a breeze. Being in the mountains and the lack of moisture recently made the colors so vivid. Perfect timing for the best color. ... called the Arbour Inn, another traditional American motel, very tastefully decorated, but our room suffered the noisiest extractor fan in the bathroom we have ever heard. A landing Chinook helicopter would make less noise!
The evening ended with the first burger of our trip, at a joint called the Blue Donkey, yet another dodgy looking food place, but it served a mean burger.
