Here I am, sitting at my computer at 4 in the morning, trying to figure out stuff for my trip when I should be sleeping. Tonight I got set up on a travel blog website so I can share stuff while I'm in South America. It seems like it will work well, and even brags about some automatic posting stuff it can do where all I have to do is email a picture to myself.

So this post is just to test it out. Yeah.

When we got our boarding passes in Vancouver, we discovered that our flight from Denver to Kansas City had actually been pushed up by about 15 mins.

We landed in Denver and it was crazy! There were people everywhere. There had been a storm and the airport had been closed for a few hours.

Our flight was delayed a few times, but we thought we were lucky as the flight after ours had been canceled. Eventually they boarded us. We went down stairs ...

... to go back into semi-retirement until next season when we visit the two remaining stadiums: Next up will be Comerica Park, home of the Detroit Tigers and the last will be Target Field, home of the Minnesota Twins...This years All Star game will be played here...We have 28 parks/stadiums visited to date...
Thank goodness for GPS's with our return trip from downtown Denver to the southern part of the city, 10 miles away..

We woke up and caught the bus to the airport. We had some breakfast and picked up some souvenirs. The welcome sign to New Mexico is adorned with pictures of red & green peppers - everything here is HOT. As settlers moved towards the gold fields of California, their wagon trains traversed thru Raton Pass (a narrow and steep gulch with large boulders) where a daily advance of 800 ft was considered normal (we went thru it in a few minutes).
