    ... about GWC and there was a short, but nice, trail. While we mostly visited this site just to check it off the list, it was fairly interesting and definitely educational!     Started the day is Strafford with heavy rain and decided to postpone leaving until it eased. Once on the road I travelled through Springfield on my way to Wilson's Creek Battlefield. This was the site of the second battle of the American Civil War west of the Mississippi and the first battle in which a Union General was killed.     ... were getting - mine was ok but Joy ended up with 2 plates of food!
    Lost 66 a couple of times but most of the day it has been running close to the Interstate. 250 miles travelled today as we had a bit of a slow start.
