We completely jinxed it yesterday by stating we had been lucky with the weather. Rain, rain, rain today. In fact, so much rain that, we suspect, water is coming into the car pushed up through the crack in our wind shield. It will get replaced in the coming week.

... sure they are never alone. Days and nights. Everyone else in the family comes by almost every day and checks in and visits. It is a group event caring for our dad and we surround him in love.

- The thing about this part...the saddest part and maybe the most wonderful part - is that this was the most beautiful time I ever spent with my dad - in my life. Here he was dying and his dementia was like a protective blanket around him that prevented him from knowing it ...

... Nascar Hall of Fame, and Charlotte motor speedway. Actually, it was Bec's idea to do the drive in 2 shifts and have a day in Charlotte, so I have to thank her for thinking outside the box on that one.

We managed to split the driving pretty much 50/50 today so we are both a little road weary. No photos either. Photo's of being between 2 semi trailers on the interstate don't make for good viewing. I can assure you that tomorrows photos will make up for the lack of shots today.
