11:00 Start walking! Head down 5th Avenue toward Bryant Park (there are some stores down there I want to go to but I have to figure out where they are)

... lots of shelves with every imaginable kind of coffee but no real selection of tea - odd that … and turned towards the Blue Ridge Parkway, this time to go to the Blue Ridge Music Centre. I spent about 3 hours there, mostly listening to a couple of retired guys singing and playing guitar and some banjo. It was wonderful! ... Much worse.

After lunch in Cherokee, on the other side of the Smokies, we drove into North Carolina, our 12th state this trip. Late afternoon, we made it to Lulu's brother's house just outside Charlotte and then had dinner with him and his wife Lisa in Charlotte.

After dinner, we drove on for another half hour to Kannapolis.

We stayed for a week at Cross Country Campground outside of Denver, TN, near Lake Norman. The park is mainly made up of permanent camp sites and the perimeter was for short stays.
