I spent about 3 hours there, mostly listening to a couple of retired guys singing and playing guitar and some banjo. It was wonderful! We are a party of four, who love to laugh, eat, exercise and give thanks. I can't think of a more wonderful group to spend 4 days with in NY city! Will post itinerary soon but it will be exhausting, exhilarating and exactly what we need! Love to my special ...

After lunch in Cherokee, on the other side of the Smokies, we drove into North Carolina, our 12th state this trip. Late afternoon, we made it to Lulu's brother's house just outside Charlotte and then had dinner with him and his wife Lisa in Charlotte.
After dinner, we drove on for another half hour to Kannapolis.
We stayed for a week at Cross Country Campground outside of Denver, TN, near Lake Norman. The park is mainly made up of permanent camp sites and the perimeter was for short stays. We were able to pick out a nice shady spot that was in the back 40, so we had several sites to ourselves for most of the time. We got both a picnic table and a fire ring so we're in ...
