... It has some of the original escalators and this is something that people actually like. For me, it just seems too much like stepping back in time! I don't enjoy the shopping or the crowds. Turns out that this may have been a bad idea. I had wanted to go to 230 on 5th which is a rooftop cocktail bar, but the thought of going back to the apartment to shower and change, then schlepping back into Midtown is not an appealing one. Met up with Pauline Morris (Penrhos mum) and wandered along Broadway. Somehow we got to Macys. Enormous. Let the girls loose inside for 15 minutes (like hell, more like an hour) and I stood outside people watching. Saw a scrawny black fella talking to himself for at least 10 mins non-stop. I wonder if he ever tells himself ...

... the week after September 11, 2001. Tomorrow we start our journey back to California. Checkout the pictures. Mary's Version It was a very fun, exciting day. I mean, New York City? Me, in York City? Well, we were, and I was. Unbelievable. During our walks to find the tickets for the bus rides, and the buses themselves, we actually walked down 42nd Street, and Broadway, at different times. Really? Wow! It was all as Greg said, and ...
