... one". We kept doing that until there were no next ones then we're in the middle of bush or forest or whatever they call it here. It was almost dark and another 150kms further on we saw signs to Springfield. I've since been told it's the home of The Simpsons and judging by a few of the folk we saw there I can see why The Simpsons would live here.

As it turns out we turned off a bit early and finished in West Springfield. That's on the west side ...

... Heading to Newport, we wondered about the kind of reception Aussies may still receive there today?


Newport naturally has a real nautical feel about it, and is approximately one and half hours away from Providence! On a regular hourly bus service, we were amazed to find it cost only $2 each way to travel there!

Good morning sunshine! yes indeed woke up to full blue skies :-)

Happy Fathers Day to all the dads reading the blog.

We are going to go on a walking tour of the mansions and "The Cliff Walk" ...followed by shopping and dinner at Moorings.
