... and the masses need to be told.

We awoke feeling much better on Thursday and headed to the Cliff Walk. This is basically a sanctioned 3.5 mile sticky beak with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and huge mansions aligning the cliff face on the other.

Most of these mansions were constructed in the so called Gilded Age of 1880 to 1920. A period when Newport was at the height of its industrial wealth. As well as being a favourite summer locale for ...

So Long New York...howdy Robin Williams

It was a fine, sunny day as we drove out of Manhattan across The Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge (59th Street Bridge), in a zippy white Nissan Maxima sporting Florida plates. Before we got to the open water we had to go through 2 bridges. The first was ...

We drove from Plymouth, Mass. through Rhode Island and into Connecticut today.
The rains started about 5 miles before we reached the Rhode Island border and didn't quit until we were well into Connecticut. We stopped for the night at a State Park not knowing that dogs are not allowed in ANY state parks in Ct. Unbelievable.
We did find some pretty places in the park, but we certainly didn't hang out for ...

... amazing dinner view. Mystics centre was quaint with idyllic old buildings, a picturesque draw bridge, interesting little shops, good food and a surprising amount of places to get a drink. This all in all provided a great little rural escape to break up the copious amount of cities we had coming, so the next few days we hired bikes to explore, sampled more of the amazing seafood and enjoyed the local beer before we headed to ...
