... it was Saturday, but they got swinging more as noon approached. Bill, of course, is an amateur automobile sociologist, and so enjoyed watching the cars as much as the nattily dressed people. Virtually every car was a status marque such as Mercedes, Porsche, Cadillac, Jaguar, BMW. What was a true mark of the town, however were a total of five Bentley convertibles spotted within five blocks.

... we left to go back to the hotel, and after driving several miles realized we were going the wrong way and turned around, got on the wrong road, found the right road again....by then my head was going south but the car was going north and I had absolutely no idea where the hotel was, what the name of our hotel was or if we would ever see our stuff again. Fortunately Armando finally got us home.

... share with them – will only cost us something like $50 or $60 each which is so so much cheaper than any of the ships excursions. Obviously we’ll be going to the places they want to see but since this is Peggy’s Cove in Halifax and Anne of Green Gables farm in Charlottetown we couldn’t be happier.

After morning exercise, Jane and I drove to a needlepoint store in Barrington, RI. The Picket Fence was a quaint little needlepoint store. We enjoyed the drive, lovely scenery along the coast. After lunch at the Black Pearl, Jane, Buddy & I drove around the area to see the historic mansions.
