We headed east this morning on I-20 to US Rt. 49 in Jackson MS where we turned south on US 49. This was a nice drive through rolling countryside and several small towns. We had a picnic lunch at the “Paul B Johnson State Park”; it was a beautiful setting overlooking a good size lake where several boats and personal water craft were enjoying the beautiful day. We did our best to respect the manatee's space and managed to get a few pets in, pretty amazing. They are referred to as gentle giants a lot and they certainly are.
