I got some little Eiffel tower trinkets for 5x what they were worth and we wandered through town until we were hopelessly lost but at the last minute before dad asked for directions(for the first time in like ever), the GPS started working after nearly 2 weeks of silence and told us where we were. ... passed through a small town called Truckee. This was another quaint little gold mining and railway town and we had a lovely time walking around it. On our way back from Lake Tahoe we found a really good diner to grab at bite to eat called JAX diner. Claire had some popcorn shrimp tacos and I had a crab cake burger. Both of these tasted amazing. Lake Tahoe itself was ok. The lake was beautiful, but the area was overdeveloped and quite trashy. Not really worth the trip.
