    ... the cat bowls with water and food. Then we took some of the dogs and gave them a bath. After that we went over and got 20 dogs and let them play together. For about 40mins but we had about 100 dogs so I help with getting the dogs and playing with them. It was about 3.30pm.     ... br> So Hollywood. What a crazy part of town. Not only is it jam packed with tourists (what? I'm a traveller, not a tourist ;) ) but there are crazy bums pushing around rubbish in shopping trolleys and talking to themselves. I even saw one dude sat on some steps wearing a crown. Like a full on crown jewels kind of crown. I'm about 80% sure it was the guy who played Hurley in Lost. Maybe he didn't like the ending either.

    ... the end of the day, a sign is a sign!! From Hollywood we embarked on our final leg of Route 66 to Santa Monica Pier. It took us around 1/2 an hour to find a parking space close to the pier as Santa Monica public and council seem to have an aversion to RVs!! As we walked along Venice Beach up to the Pier, we were all very excited and a tincy wincy bit proud of the journey we had completed.     ... lay in the sun soaking up the last of the heat before returning to the NZ winter! We dropped Richard at the airport after lunch for his flight back to London :-( Tonight the girls and I did a bit of shopping. We leave here tomorrow night so will have a quiet morning and another swim before then. We are all looking forward to getting "home" and seeing everybody.
