Twisting, turning and winding our way away from the water was going to be the best solution.... even tho not the quickest. Dan was not familiar with this part of Seattle, so David expertly directed him thru all kinds of short cuts. The traffic on 15th to Spokane, had a line up stand still of more than 30 + cars. ... we "marvelled" (??) at all the Hollywood cartoon characters milling around - Minnie Mouse, Spiderman, Shrek etc etc.

Next stop was the Farmer's Market for lunch where we were given 1.5 hours to ourselves - much too long we agreed afterwards, unless you're a serious shopaholic! The Farmer's Market turned out to be a large shopping centre built around the original Farmer's Market which dates back to 1870. There was a vast, and very impressive ...

I saw a squirrel! I saw a squirrel! I saw a squirrel! It was in a tree. Right outside our hostel. A freaking squirrel! Amazing. I've had three discoveries for the day. Discovery #1 - the curbs here are so high! I need a sports bra on just to step off them! No wonder Samantha could fit through it in Now & Then and kids got kidnapped by Pennywise the clown in IT.
