... boys who came up with their families. We would attach playing cards to our bikeframes by the back tire with clothespins, sticking the cards into the spokes and pretend we had motorcycles. There were miles of roads to ride. We played with cars and trucks in the dirt, swam, boated, fished, explored, hiked, picnicked, bowled at the old Bowling Alley and played tricks on the girls. There was an old building remaining from the hotel that had ...

Funny thing about New York is that everything seems to be either 'worlds best' or 'world famous' or both. Even food items in little diners that you see in the country towns. I guess an awful lot of world travellers must drive through New York! The scenery changed when we started to head up into the Adirondacks and the forest ...

A travel blog entry by b_btravel on Mar 28, 2014

So the time had finally come for us to cross the border and say good bye to the beautiful and friendly Canadian people. There was some apprehension I will admit. We had our story straight, had a travel destination and had all required passports at the ready. We were two Australian residents, driving a car purchased and insured in British Columbia heading into New York State to visit for less than 90 days. We had a flight out of the country and had enough money to look after ...
