      ... Fort Point, an old fort and lighthouse - a beautiful park and views. Then we were off to Fort Knox and the Penobscot Narrows Bridge which includes an observatory.. We spend about an hour and half touring the fort and going up in the tower of the bridge. What a great view from the the tower.       ... of lobstermen, but it was good to have a little more time with my fellow participants. It’s been really nice to spend the week with these interesting people, and to gain their perspective about the things we’re doing. It’s really enhanced the experiences we had – the fun things, as well as the challenges such as braving the cold rain and steep climb to be able to say we all stood inside a real lighthouse!

      ... to check out one of the many interesting restaurants there. The rain had begun as we boarded the bus for our afternoon’s excursion to Owl’s Head Light, but we were still excited to be going there. After a short uphill walk from the parking lot, and a climb up a long ramp, a staircase, a spiral staircase in the lighthouse, and a short ladder up to a hatch in the floor, we were able to stand right inside the lantern room!
