    ... State Park, where we parked for two nights. We rented a kayak and explored the surrounding waterways. This area is a big limestone basin with springs feeding creeks, and we found one of these where we were able to swim (safe from alligators!)

    We got lucky with the weather... It was supposed to rain a lot but so far, it has been pretty nice. We stayed in St. Petersburg for a night and are enjoying some beach/pool time in Naples.

    It's pretty hot and humid here and we decided to rent a cabin for a few nights... sleeping in the tent is not really a treat :)

    On the recommendation of a friend we went to a recently opened nature walk called the Greenway. A bit disappointing as it was right next to a busy highway and so close to Naples Airport we could see the pilots faces as they flew a few feet over our heads. Not much shade.

    ... I was at a Christmas parade in my shorts watching decorated boats. No snow, no winter coats, no hot cocoa. Christmas in Florida has a different flair that’s for sure. We walked back to our van and drove to a nearby Wal-Mart sleep. It was surprisingly dark and quiet so we slept great.
