... comfortable--why can't it be like this all the time? On to Disneyland. Both Mac and Josie wanted to ride “Autopia” again. Since everyone was parked to watch the fireworks, the line at “Autopia” was very short. So we did it again. ... We walked about 4 k's from Santa Monica Pier up Venice Beach and back then started driving back to the apartment, the GPS battery died about a quarter of the way so we switched to using my phone maps, then my phone battery died! Managed to get back eventually but we definitely took the scenic route.

That's about all for day 1, we made it to our goal of staying awake till 6pm so its bed time now.

After dinner we went to Madamme Tussauds wax museum where I met President Obama and many other celebrities. I actually didn't know a lot of them but enjoyed my time there. On the way back we stopped to make our own candy bars at Sweet! I made one with peanut butter, Nutella, cookie dough, and Reese's peanut butter chips. Unfortunately it is too late for me to eat it. I will have to have it another day.

This was ...

... something that has to be experienced. I truly believe that the equivalent of the population of Perth was on the road at the same time.... Mim did not really enjoy the traffic as a passenger.......... not too comfortable with LHD.

We got back to the hotel just in time for Happy Hour.....Nice (ish) glass of local vino, and a chance to chat with some ...
