... ve done well for roasts in NZ). The evening activity was a dress-up party in which the theme was the first letter of your first name. I went as Hannibal Lector and jake went as a janitor... Two brilliant costumes but we didn't win any prizes. We couldn't compete with The luge or Alan from hangover. July 4th 2015 The day started well as the breakfast at the hotel was pancakes, bacon and syrup. Once again though there was a lot of driving but loads of very ...

... be so close to these enormous creatures. We had a further two sightings which is apparently quite rare. Each time the whale stayed on the surface for a few minutes, blowing out of their blowhole then arching before diving and giving us the classic tail view. We also enjoyed the company of a large pod of playful energetic Dusky Dolphins performing impressive acrobatics. We went close to the rocks to see Fur Seals with their pups and saw several Albatross flying above us. It was ...

Today's target: East Coast, by which direction and what road, we don't know. As usual we woke up early and whilst all the other freedom campers slept (especially the very noisy Americans) walked across the road to Lake Tekapo from our road side camping place to take pictures of the early morning sun breaking onto the surrounding mountains. This was achieved by walking across the Lake bottom (this is a reservoir lake and they've had the driest ...

... Iwe did get up close to a bunch of sheep. It was disappointing because it wasn't really seeing any in their natural habitat. I have one more tour planned with another colony that I know is helped by humans. I felt the tour was misleading and they should not have booked any knowing that chances are slim to see any . In Arakoa we stayed at the Criterion Motel in the center of this small walkable town. Our room had a balcony with a great view of the bay.
