... to Giordano's for Chicago's famous deep dish pizza pie. The crust is like pie crust -sweet pastry. The sauce is on top of the other ingredients. We ordered a small pizza between us and couldn't finish it. The local cake here is the bunt (pronounced boont with the vowel diphthong as in wood). It's a big round cake with a hole in the middle. ... this entry with a short clip I recorded on my phone (excuse the quality, it barely does them justice). It's a video of one of their more funky jams, but it was just as potent as all their other tunes. The singer in this one is one of Rodney's guitarists, and I got the sax solo in there too. A great taste of the Chicago music scene, albeit a small one.

Chicago is a wonderful city with a lot to do. I really wish I could stay longer ...

And although in shuffle mode, when a spontaneous, cheesy and subliminal songs like Rupaul's "The beginning" (don't judge!) comes on, it put the kick back in my step, feeding me courage while I walk around feeling all my senses come alive.
