... decided to come back another day and have a look around the shopping village instead. There was around 5 floors that was full of designers and high street shops too. After we decided to go to an aquarium which was said to be the largest in the world (?) we saw all different fishes and enjoyed a show where the stingrays and sea turtles were fed. They also fed the parana fish whilst we there.

... less unspectacular days, we headed off to Penang, which is an island norh-west of Malaysia. We stayed at the Reintree Lodge hostel, which was more a construction site than a place to sleep. We were invited to a wedding of good friends of us, which was a very nice and interesting evening for us! Georgetown itself is a beautiful small city, where part of it belongs to the World Cultural Heritage. So worth visiting!
On the next day our ferry took off to Langkawi...

... the way from Titiwangsa (the area of the city that I'm living in) to Petaling Jaya, which took a good hour and a half alone. Over lunch with many of the ladies in the Sisters in Islam office, I surprised the only American who is part of the permanent staff when I told her I was only twenty. ... salads and an incredible dessert bar! This was followed by wine at Marini's on 57 with a stunning view of Douglas' towers (aka the Petronas Twin Towers), which Douglas project managed. We were joined by some friends of a Haris and Douglas who were lovely.
