... floods and devastation. A lot has happened while we've been away but we have been proud of the way our state has rebounded and are moving forward.
We're excited to be getting home tomorrow. We’ve been very fortunate through all our travels and have enjoyed sharing our adventures with our friends and family. We’re glad I wrote the blog because it’s already hard to remember some of the names of places we’ve been!
A long day of travel but I made it! Knoxville through Chicago to Newark. I waited about an hour for Claudia to arrive but then we scouted about the airport and shared a pizza for dinner. The restaurant had bubble lights which made us think of Carolyn building her house! Plane boarding and departure were on time and we were flying across the Atlantic. than it has been.
We also met Doug, Heathers husband, who
had been working shift work so we hadn't met him the day before. I
made sausage rolls to add to dinner which everyone seemed to like and
then after dinner we had smores around the fire pit. The kids went in
after a bit but the adults stayed and chatted until after dark. So
nice to be able to stop and connect with people, we all had a ...
... a little basketball between rain. Ben, Josh and
Kait took a swim in the afternoon.
In the evening we went for our second
experience at playing Bingo in a Yogi camping ground. This time it
was candy bar Bingo and much more enjoyable. Mainly because it was
dry. It helped that we won more candy bars than we put in! The movie
that night wasn't interesting to us so we hung out in the RV and had
an early night.
