... which bills itself as Food 'n' Fun. I can testify to the food as I had a giant plate of a Nachos from the appetiser menu which proved to be more than enough for a meal itself. Indeed this was more of a chicken and mushroom Nachos than I had been expecting. I returned to Stroud as darkness was falling and got some great pictures of the ATM and Skyliner Motel neon signs. Left home about 5:45. Flight from OKC at 9:15. Arrived O'Hare 11:15. The international terminal is a totally different building so we had to go out of security, ride a tram to the international terminal and go back through security so that took awhile. ... between two mountain ranges: the Boston Mountains, and the Ouachita Mountains. We drove by Carrie Underwood's home town, a small town not too far from the Arkansas border.

Just before we stopped for the day, we drove into Henryetta to buy a few groceries at WalMart. We drove the length of Main Street, about one mile long. The street was lined with dilapidated store fronts. If this is typical then small town Oklahoma is in trouble.

... where nearly all of the buildings have been abandoned. It was once a thriving town when 66 went through but now there is a bypass so no one stops. Baxter Springs where we stayed last night used to be a rich cattle town which attracted many bank robbers such as Bonnie and Clyde, the James Gang, the Daltons etc. it's a bit quieter now!
