    ... The views were amazing and there weren't many people where we stopped. As we continued up the coast into Oregon we saw a sign for a lighthouse and decided to stop. The lightkeeper's house and the lighthouse had been restored and the lighthouse is still in use. This was one of our favorite places, we were there in the early evening and it was calm and peaceful.

    Further up the coast was one of the places on my list, Thor's Well at Cape Perpetua. ...

    Mike and I had been staying in the caravan while Jackie, Paul and Cookie had graciously opted to sleep in the tent... Maybe not next time though! We woke in the morning to a bit of a frost....     Next stop the woods. Our host Ralph gave us wonderful directions for treasure hunting through the forest. We found chanterelles and many other varieties of mushrooms, poking around the undergrowth. There was so much moisture on the trees that they steamed as the sun hit them.
