Just before leaving Mechanicville we got an email from Lock One Marina that they had still not received our filters.... at least we now knew we would be at our anchorage at a good hour! We left just after 8 am to tackle the last two locks in the Champlain Canal and the Federal Lock at Troy. After a peaceful few days in Fort Edward we moved on through Lock 6 and Lock 5, and we asked to tie up at Lock 4 where we intended to spend the night. Unfortunately when Marty went to talk to the lockmaster he could not allow us to stay overnight since there were big barges coming through.
