... for a spot of sunbathing. Led there sun blazing, tunes blasting and enjoying the incredible view felt amazing, not just your typical weds afternoon were you can say you have sunbathed amongst the back drop of the Rockies :) nice Skype chat with my p.i.c has made me feel a whole lot better as I have really missed my friends. Absolutely loving this trip . As the sun started to disappear I made my way back into the condo. Chilling with the Trekkies watching ...

We scampered out to the river and looked up the gorge towards Red Mountain No. 2. There was an old swinging bridge maybe a half-mile up crossing Corkscrew Gulch. Yep. Let's do it. ... bust. We got to meet some great
people (and dogs), eat plenty of delicious meals, learn a lot about
pre-planning as a group in this type of situation, and we learned a lot
about each other. It's not so bad now, sitting at my parents house while
my mom serves Ryan and I gourmet meals and sweets all day. And it's not
so bad hitting all my favorite spots in my old stompin' grounds. We can
just rest up before we embark on the next leg of our journey next ...

... My new route had me getting back to Highway 50 via Ophir pass. While this isn't considered nearly as dramatic or treacherous as the other options you cant help but noticing the shining metal of a wrecked vehicle down the steep slope as you approach the top of the pass. It's hard not to look down at it but the sick and dizzy feeling it gave me convinced me it was best to keep my eyes on the road. Ophir pass puts you onto Highway 50 just South of ...
