Very punny huh?
At first light, we filled our water jugs, had some Malt-o-Meal (first-timer) and headed south toward Montrose. We picked up some Haystack Mountain Goat Cheese (Shout out to Boulder, CO goats), batteries for my head lamp and an apple and ran over to the library. The countryside near Black Canyon there south of Delta makes you feel like you're on earth. Your surroundings are so obvious and exposed. Good Evening All,
We are back from Lake City today and we had a wonderful time. We left around 9:00 am after a good breakfast and showers. It was cold when we woke up this morning, but warmed to 70 degrees by the time we got to Lake City. (Oh...about the title). We got up to over 11,000 feet on the way over there. When I came up through the area from New Mexico on my way up from Interstate 40 I had originally planned to stop through Telluride, a place I have always considered my favorite ski town, but unknown to ...
Water: we need to drink water all the time. We have found that when we see a forestry sign we can get water. We have been carrying one nalgene bottle each and we look for water and places to fill up our jugs. Praise God that the forestry saw fit to put in spicketts in the wilderness, hydration is a big deal.
Praisin: all these things that we are experiencing have been changing us. We are so blessed ...
