As we approached Lander, the sun came out just as we rounded a bend overlooking Red Canyon - which lived up to its name. Unfortunately, the next day there was torrential rain, so we took a drive up into Sinks Canyon (where we planned to climb) and checked out the town.

After the hot mineral baths , the sound of the river and cool breezes through the night, we had a good sleep.
