Greetings, still from San Antonio;

Yesterday was a quiet day. Our only real activity was to go visit The Alamo. Walking inside the museum was very reminiscent of many of the Churches we have visited in Italy. There is a sense of quiet and reverence about what happened there. It was a moving experience. Pictures are not allowed in the museum but I did snap one of the outside.

... crust, just the right amount of tomato and cheese, and salumi that tasted exactly like we had in Italy. On the antipasto plate, the prosciutto was as deliciously sweet and salty as I've ever had. Throw in a bottle of Vietti Perbaco and it made for a really nice evening.

Today we'll begin to explore San Antonio. We plan a boat tour along the river walk and a trip to The Alamo. More on that soon.

We slept in this morning and headed downstairs to the Dragon's Revenge slide when the park opened at 10am. Brynn got scared but everyone else rode, and afterwards we spent quite awhile at the Alligator River which was super fun. After that was Boogie Bahn and Katie and Annie both held on and did great for their first try. Then another go on the Alligator River. ... and El Mercado. This is a authentic Spanish market. We walked around and I bought a margarita glass from Mexico made from blown glass. After we stopped by Mi Terra Cafe and Bakery. That place is busy!! It is open 24 hrs a day everyday of the year. We got mango and peach empanadas, a vanilla and a caramel filled things, and a cinnamon sugar crescent roll.
