We figured since we already got ~$17,000 worth of airfare for $127 and ~$12,000 worth of hotels for $0, why not skip the parking fee too? Parking is insanely expensive at JFK for 15 days so Mike rented a car one way using rental credits so we could avoid the parking fee entirely! Total cost to us was $1 plus gas and tolls. This undertaking is not simply a getaway; it's a total relocation. No just grabbing your toothbrush and jammies in an overnight bag! Not only did we need to empty one large refrigerator/freezer and fill another tiny one, we needed to furnish a small kitchen, bath, and 2 bedrooms. First item on the agenda: the Nespresso machine!
