Tim and Mira headed back on to the trail in the morning after a nice breakfast together of bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, biscuits and gravy. Plus coffee, always coffee. They were really lovely people, I'm hoping I get to catch up with them again in San Fran once they've finished the trail.

I was picked up by the 'ACE' trail crew in the afternoon ('American Conservation Experience') and taken to what would be our base camp for the next 9 days. There were 6 members ...

... for 7 years as a cook for monks in Nepal, and along with Nepalese can now speak 6 languages. We was a very genuine and sincere man and pretty bloody inspirational. He had many stories to tell and we were all ears. The next few days passed pretty quickly, with pack repairs, loud Irish, Columbians and Kiwis, as well as routine visits to all the local buffets. ... spent the night in the bus, dumped the tanks on Thursday AM and got home around noon.

21 States, 6 Canadian Provinces. 10,401 miles, 228 hours of bus driving, over 1400 gallons of diesel fuel, averaging 7.27 mpg with a average speed of 53.3 mph. Over 3000 miles in the Honda.
