... the 49 and as we approached the 120 I started to twitch involuntarily. "Ohmigod ohmigod ohmigod that's high" I said as we looked up at the road that snaked up the mountain side. And yes it was flipping high, and narrow; for a vehicle that is 10 ft wide. AND we were on the right which is the cliff-plummet-to-your-death side of the road.
I didn't really take in the much of the view. I just maintained my death grip on ...

... I neglected thoughts of Jehovah?

By no means... how could I? I saw the wonderful vistas available from Pikes Peak, something only Jehovah could have arranged...



And sunrises and sunsets... this one in Wyoming...



And a pure oddity, an alkaline lake in which only a certain species of shrimp can survive. This is in the Sierra Nevada, which I drove into en route to Yosemite National Park... but ...

... and hosts in the bay area. we miss you guys!!!!! you are amazing and beautiful!

anyways, we managed to get ourselves out of the bay and into butt ****** nowhere, merced.
this town kinds reminds us of home. its small, there are lots of farmers, theres not much to do,
and its cold.

we went on a almond farm tour, or as the almond farmers call them
Amens!!. Cuz when the hit the ground it knocks the "L" ...

... big strong conifer trees, with beautiful bark. All this making the walk feel not just hard, but also AWEsome.
The sun went down at nine, about 18 miles into our walk. We pulled out our one flashlight, and slowed our pace. We still had about 5ish miles to go the sign said, but we weren't fully sure. Luckily the sprinkle never picked up lowering the countless ways we could possibly die by one.
We walked slowly very close together and started to turn into exhausted zombies. ...

... friends I've made abroad have changed my view on people. Everyone is cooler han you think they are(just trust me), and a first impression most of time will be 100% wrong. I have realized that the way I've judged people has always been irrelevant as of late. Having an open mind can benefit everyone, and being in Africa has taught me much. If Africa taught me anything though, it would be how to make and be a good friend.
