... it would be better to go down through Arco (site of the worlds first Nuclear Reactor) and into Idaho Falls.
Again we followed the Salmon river for most of the day. There are campgrounds along the way that are free and right on the river. The roads were winding and there is very little shoulder to pull over on. And at some points there were no railings which required full attention to making sure the road warrior stayed on the road.

Just a short drive today, about 4 hours, made it to Idaho Falls! Staying at the Snake River campground. We ventured down to the river walk along the snake river, very pretty spot, the drive here was pretty , the landscape changed a little bit as we passed into Idaho, beautiful lush green farm fields, and not as mountainous as Utah. Tomorrow we are venturing to Craters of the Moon, lava ...

We did however eat in apprantely THE best restuarnt in Idaho Falls. It was an awful Chinese one, where all the food was brown. Afterward we went for drinks at a local bar and actually got quite hammered and got talking to a local. I´m not sure but at the end of the night I think we were supposed to drive and pick up this guy in the morning and he was going to be our guide...I think....
