        ... main halls which contain images of Buddha and a huge surrounding courtyard. Again, it is all very stark and utilitarian compared to cathedrals but very much in keeping with the peace and calm associated with Asian religion.

        ... know is one of the more famous ones. It was great because it was so early in the morning that I had the place to myself and it still felt very real, rather than geared up for tourists - all kinds of farm animals wondering around the paths, the residents here sitting outside chatting or playing cards, and inside the tulous (you could wander in but not go upstairs) people were busy having breakfast, washing clothes, cleaning or sorting out the animals.         ... have been lovely to have someone playing, or music on a sound system. Nup. An aviary had the biggest gathering of peacocks I've ever seen, as well as pelicans, cockatoos and others. The noise was unbelievable. There was a show starting at 9.30, and about ten minutes beforehand, every bird seemed to start warming up its vocal chords. There was the usual revolting show of trained birds doing ridiculous things like riding a bike. The only funny one was the cockatoo playing the piano. ...

        ... wander around by ourselves, we decided to split up and go our own ways shopping, again, so many shops. so many people!! We bought only a few items here, had no lunch here but when we met up, we had a sundae from McDonalds !! .
        Time was up, head count done once again, our group all here, unlike some groups that were missing people!! Back through customs, back through check in and yes, straight to the bar!! After a full on day, we needed it!
