Another late start today. We spent time at the Australian Consulate in Guangzhou and got to talk to the Deputy Consul-General Julie-Anne Nichols about trade relations between Australia and China and the role of Austrade in this process. It was very interesting to see their viewpoints on the changes occurring as well as the students being given advice on what they should do in their university studies if they are thinking of getting into this arena. ... 2 ride and takes us from Kowloon to Hong Island. From there we walked to the Peak Tram which has run for the past 120 years. Its a 1350 meter journey to the Peak's top connecting 5 stations (one being 'Barker Rd') and about a 45 degree incline. The views of the city below are quite spectacular. After making a short tour around the Peak's city we headed back down to the base and caught our fairy ride back to Kowloon.
