Waste of time!

... little things with quality of construction/work on the new unit. Wood finish much nicer on Max; WTH! There's a hole in the floor beside the passenger slide.....told that was so techs could get to water lines and electric lines if needed to repair them (put a piece of carpet there to cover it up); wood used in drawers felt thinner.

... guide' to our spot which was long and level, but narrow. Had to swing the coach out on a narrow entry road to get it between the concrete pad and electric post. There was a 3 ft high set of 4 metal electric pipes beside the entry road that I caught the back end of Max on. Wouldn't have been bad except it had been hit before and the top was bent out and the ends were rolled up. So Max now has a 'boo'. Nothing major, but an irritant.

Grandsons

We spent a very fast paced 3 days with our grandsons. We took them for the day on Sunday and anyone that has ever kept 3 little boys, 8, 7 and 6, know that is a tiring:)

We took them back to the camper for lunch and over to see the light house on St. Marks. There is a little hiking trail that the boys enjoyed. Overall a great visit. Also our oldest just got a house and we helped by keeping the boys away so they could paint the day away.

The Old Capitol building is just like it was years ago; a bit of updating, but no major remodelling. Most of the 150 desks and chairs are replicas. The original ones cost $15 each and were all oak. I marvelled at the old wood floors that had lots of varnish, and the very old tile in the restrooms. Also, we were surprised to learn the State Seal ...

... We bowled up to ask if anyone would mind if we parked here for the night. They turned out to be from Georgia and one guy (Vic was his name) offered to tow our canoe up the swift looking river so we could float down again. He was bearded, scarred, over-aled and about 70 years old, his flat bottomed dingy had the same look. It was pretty late but he was so keen to take us so I suggested we just go for a look in ...
