    Even though it was dark when we arrived, you could see that it was cleaner than the normal city area, and there was hardly any traffic so everyone was walking on the roads. The air actually smelt fresher too!

    ... quite surprised to be informed that out 4 pm classes had been cancelled due to an orange weather warning in place.

    I asked what orange meant, and was told it is one step down from red, which is the big nasty. Anyway, we got to go home early, and although it didn't seem to be that bad at the time, by 7:30 pm it was pretty spectacular.
