... NH and the next day took a drive to Franconia Notch State Park. AMAZING! We saw the Old Man in the Mountain, rode the tram to the top of hill for a foliage extravaganza, hiked the Notch Flume, and got our butts kicked on the biking trail! We loved our time in New Hampshire. We were amazed at the beauty! We took a train ride on the Conway Scenic Railway.

Hopefully the heavy rain of the last 36 hours will end by morning and give me 2 days of fine weather for my Photography Tour. I can at least hope.

... They were built over corn stalks with round heads and hats. We saw all sorts of costumes including roaring 20’, the sixties, the 70s, etc., and outfits from different walks of life. A spokesperson for the village said, the kookier and brighter the outfit, the better. Villagers put these “leaf people” out at the autumn equinox and they attract visitors to the village.
... really weird to see the water flowing one direction in the morning, and return hours later to see everything going the other way. There are not really falls here, but rapids that create turbulence and emphasize the water flow.
