    Summary

Lola drove the 126 miles in 6 hours from Montreal to our car. I drove 40 miles in 1 hour to our hotel.

    Highlights

Had another great breakfast in the hotel. Different food this time as it included pancakes, sausage patties and good home fries.

We packed up and left around 9a. The weather was good, cloudy and a bit on the cool side. Driving through Vermont is just beautiful, saw lots of mountains. We can only imagine the sites when the leaves change ...

Had a nice breakfast at the hotel. It was more than Continental as there were eggs, waffles, sausage hash, potato pancakes, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast, and more. We are staying at a Residence Inn by Marriott and the room is very large. Comes with a complete kitchen, full size refrigerator, dining table.

We decided to try and find some antique stores. We got to visit three ...

I really wanted to just keep going....(although my hair and skin really really really needed a shower)...heartbreaking to move out of the truck.....I napped and read (and ate popcorn) most of the ride home.... Rather dramatic homecoming.... Bombing through little roads in vt....huge, orange moon in the sky....windows open....heat on....music blasting.... Quick stop for a burger once we get to burlington. The ...

Alex and I woke to a beautiful sunrise at Val and Rob's place, a location that was actually near where the story "On Golden Pond" was based. We quickly got up and around, then headed into town with Val. We stopped for breakfast at a stereotypical diner. Even Alex noticed how inexpensive his breakfast was - only about $3.65 for the largest pancake he had ever seen.Rob joined us for the tail end of breakfast before we headed off to ...
