... the night we lit a campfire and tried our new cast iron pie iron. Two slices of bread, spagettios, diced vegan meat and cheddar cheese in a cast iron pie maker….mmmmm. Half way through cooking our 5 star dinner it began to pour rain. It was another evening of scrambling to get everything put away. We brought our campfire dinner into the tent to eat and go to bed.

... company. Hallelujah, he could be there in an hour, we'll take it. So we had some lunch at the cafe and waited for our taxi.

We squeezed ourselves and our suitcases into the cab and took the half hour journey through Saranac Lake and on to Lake Placid. What a gorgeous town, the kind of town you see on postcards.
