After getting off the ferry we searched for a rest stop nearby. First time washing up in a truck stop bathroom, forgot a towel so had to try and maneuver drying my face off with the air dryer. Hiking up this trail meant a lot to me. I wanted to see where he had been. The hike itself was beautiful and easy, unlike the NoonMark Trail. The view of the Trap Dike was pretty impressive. It's this HUGE vertical gash in the rock. To think of going up that now when there was no snow seemed a bit daunting.

... left Ohio, scraped into the northern most tip of Pennsylvania and entered New York state. We immediately spotted a Friendly's, a northeastern USA fast food chain that Karen had been raving about because of their Reeces Pieces Peanut Butter Sundaes.....wow what a taste sensation.

We drove right past Buffalo and Niagra Falls en route to our destination. It was getting late and traffic was heavy as it was ...
