Further down the road we came to an area where 350 years ago three large avalanches brought an enormous amount of rock plummeting down the mountainside and covering the area in many feet of loose rock, and as a result the few trees growing here are all dwarfed. This was definitely a National Park that should be on everyone’s must see list.
