So after departing sunny Ringgold, we began the first proper road-leg of our tour. This one began by retracing our steps back to Atlanta, before setting off North East towards the mountains. First stop was a little place called Winder, to meet up with some of Leah's friends - Josh & Ellie, and Paul & Rebecca. Josh is a tennis coach and had a lesson til late on so the rest of us went for ...

... cooking as a personal chef prepares the most fantastic southern meals.

Greater Dahlonega boasts a number of wineries and we visited Monteluce Estate & Winery. The whole farm has an Italian theme and La Vigne is a 25,000 sq. ft. restaurant above the wine press room. They produce excellent wines and a menu to match. A great place to celebrate a special occasion or to stop by just because. A quick drive will take you ...

... squeezed into a turn off. We probably could have parked in the middle of the small road, being that we didn't meet a soul on it the whole way. Anne and I started up the lightly traveled trail. Being that it was almost November we were unconcerned about any snakes on the path, because late October weather is cold, right?

Our destination was Bad Branch, and the warm afternoon sun was a welcome sight after the previous week of ...
