After missing the turn to 280 South, we drove across the Golden Gate Bridge, took the first exit, turned around and crossed it again and finally were on the right road! We stopped off at Lucia's Lodge Restaurant just out of the blue and had the best lunch and view of our trip. We sat of the deck overlooking a rocky cliff shoreline and ate the best fish and chips and hamburger ...

... drive through Malibu and a dinner stop at Morro Rock, a lovely place to watch the sun set behind on old volcanic deposit (woo geography excitement) and see a seagull eat a dead pigeon, as we were lucky enough to experience. A more successful navigation by Susie (shocker; we soon learnt surfer and horse rider she may be, but navigation may not have been one of her natural talents) right off the Pacific ...
