    Monday day 6 - We arrived here Wednesday with the intention of spending 3 days exploring the Kennedy Space Center and the surrounding area. Upon arriving at the Visitors' Center we learned that there was to be a rocket launch that evening at 6:59 from Cape Canaveral.     ... I have been luxuriously lazy during the day. I begin the day with a walk on the beach followed by some quiet yoga looking out at the Atlantic Ocean. It's not our gorgeous blue Pacific but it will do! I've been taking lots of workshops online since I'm not teaching again until December. I spent about six hours a day last week learning how to be an effective dissertation chair...whew!

    ... their eggs. No lights are allowed as this disorients the turtles, and the turtles will go back in the ocean. We look for trails. I noticed a dark object moving very slowly out of the ocean and up onto the beach. It takes about an hour for the turtles to lay their eggs. The turtle lays some eggs, covers the eggs with sand, lays eggs, covers with sands, and continues this process until done.
