      Monday day 6 - We arrived here Wednesday with the intention of spending 3 days exploring the Kennedy Space Center and the surrounding area. Upon arriving at the Visitors' Center we learned that there was to be a rocket launch that evening at 6:59 from Cape Canaveral.       ... County must have been there all they were all decked out in leopard print, zebra print, safari hats, the works! I was just happy to get "carded" at the entrance and found out that admission for seniors was free…no wonder all us grey hairs were there! This is an amazing open concept zoo.       I wanted to do some wining in Oregon and Washington…goal not met. We didn't do any tasting at all!!!! Those who often share a bottle of wine with us will be surprised by that. But we were so wrapped up in the beautiful scenery, we opted to spend all of our time seeing that, rather than the inside of a bunch of tasting rooms.

      ... stop was the Ruth Funk Center for Textile Arts. This is the only textiles center in the state and one of the few in the nation. Of course, our quilter Linda would love this.
